auto repair estimating systems
Can someone give me an estimate to fix a leak in my Auto Air conditioning?
I have a 1991 Acura legend. I have a mechanic who works out of his house in his spare time who just recharged my system but it is starting to blow out warm air again. I just want to know how much I need to save up if I decided to let an Auto repair shop fix it instead of him, even though he is an actual licensed mechanic. Maybe he doesn't have the proper tools at his house I'm not sure but I can't afford to pay hundreds at the Auto shop either.
My system has been retrofitted to R134A by the way.
It depends on where the leak is located and the difficulty in repairing it.Parts etc..I believe the 91 model is the last year for R12.Has it been retrofitted?R134a is cheap but not R12.You are looking at more than 300$ but less than 600$.Get a estimate BEFORE they do the work.
