What auto maker is the least expensive to repair?
Trying to learn more about car repair looking for ideas for a cheep car/ or truck to fix up. Body and/ or general mechanics, but auto body is not as important. I know the luxury/ high end cars like Lexus, BMW, Benz, etc are a lot more for parts than GM/Ford/ Chevy. But is like Ford less than lets say Chevy for cost to parts? Also if anybody can recommend a good starter book(s) for beginning auto repair that would be great. (websites also) I do not want to do this for work as in a carrier, just so I can learn how to for my self and friends, etc. To save some serious $ also... I just replaced my clutch in my 03 Elantra GLS, around $300 for parts and tax, $800is for labor.... so yea.
